The annual TMA conference was held last month in Round Rock. I believe this was the best conference we have had to date. The training included handcuffing/defensive tactics, mental street survival and firearm training with a competition shoot at the end of the day. Congratulations to Fred Pitcher for winning the competition. We also owe a big thank you to Ed Anderson, Fred Pitcher and Kelly DeVoll of Georgetown for sponsoring the conference. They did an excellent job.

Elections were held at the conference. I want to thank the members for electing me as President. Following Tommy White as President is going to be tough to live up to, but I will do my best for you and the Association. Congratulations to Rob DeGroot from Rowlett for being elected as Vice-President, Ed Anderson from Georgetown elected as Treasurer, Fred Pitcher also from Georgetown elected as Assistant Treasurer, and Randy Harris from San Angelo was elected as Sgt at Arms. Tim Rich from McKinney remains as Secretary and Mike Howard from Prosper remains as Chaplin. Tommy White also appointed Terry Hambley from Burleson as the new Region 1 Director.

The website has been updated with all of the new changes; the new Bi-laws have also been posted on the website for your review. The Board is already hard at work planning next years conference, so check back often for updates.
